Intro: For Sony at the 1995 ‘Live’ consumer show in London, Sony wanted a spectacular entrance to the exhibition stand. The design created was a video tunnel made up of 288 28″ CRT displays.
The Challenge: Conventional video wall technology would have been prohibitively expensive for the quantity of displays, as were large enough matrix switcher.
The Solution: We used a combination of the two, using an Electronics video wall processors, together with Probel matrix switcher. We created some custom software to allow both the VWP and Matrix to work in sync together. We used multiples sources, for video and images used FX from the VWP to spin, rotated and zoom the content along the length of the tunnel to eye popping effect.

The success of this exhibition led Sony to ask us to create a smaller version for the E3 exhibition in LA the following year.
